PROGRAM
Here’s the electronic version of the conference programme, which includes guidelines for both in-person and online presentations.
A few practical notes:

On-site presentation is limited to 15 minutes, followed by a five-minute Q&A.

Online presentations are allocated 12 minutes, followed by a five-minute Q&A. A Google Drive folder has been created for uploading pre-recorded video presentations. For complete instructions, see the attached guidelines in the programme.

In line with our commitment to environmental sustainability, ISIC 2026 will not provide printed copies of the programme.

To accommodate all participants, including those arriving on the second day of the conference, we have moved the welcome dinner from 25 June to 26 June.
To assist us with airport transfers, shuttle service, and catering arrangements, we kindly ask you to confirm the following:

your flight details, including the date and time of your arrival in and departure from Tacloban;

your accommodation details;
-
your attendance at the conference dinner on 26 June; and
-
any dietary requirements, allergies, or accessibility needs.

Participants registered for the post-conference excursion on 28 June and/or those extending their stay in Tacloban for the Sangyaw Festival on 29 June will receive additional information in a separate email.

LOCATION
Host University:
The University of the Philippines Tacloban College (UPTC) is a constituent unit of the University of the Philippines (UP) System. It has four academic divisions: the Division of Humanities, the Division of Social Sciences, the Division of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, and the Division of Management. The college currently offers 10 undergraduate programs and two graduate programs, including a Master of Science in Environmental Science.
Venue:
The Leyte-Samar Heritage Center (LSHC) is the official venue of ISIC 2026. It is dedicated to promoting the tangible and intangible heritage of Eastern Visayas through research, cultural programs, and public engagement. It regularly hosts forums, workshops, exhibits, and performances that celebrate the region’s diverse histories, traditions, and creative expressions.
The Islands:
Situated in the island group of Eastern Visayas, Leyte embodies the vitality of island life. Surrounded by vast seas and lush landscapes, it thrives on a deep connection between land and water, which is seen in its vibrant culture, livelihoods, and the warmth and creativity of its people. It is linked to the island of Samar by the iconic San Juanico Bridge symbolizing connection and shared heritage across the Visayas.
