
SICRI holds annually an Island Studies International Conference (ISIC). Since its inception in 2004, it has organized several ISIC events with hosting institutions, organizations and local authorities in small islands around the world, including:

Norfolk Island (2006) Nova Scotia (2012) Tatihou Island (2018)
Prince Edward Island (2007) Kei Islands (2013) Jamaica (2019)
Korppoo, Turku Archipelago (2008) Fernando de Noronha Archipelago (2014) Shetland (2022)
Sado Island (2009) Gozo Island (2015) Miyajima (2023)
Guernsey Island (2010) Okinawa (2016)
Hawai'i (2020) and Barra Island (2021) canceled due to Covid-19. Instead, a Symposium on Islands and Mingration was hosted online (see below)
Full proceedings are available for the ISIC 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011 and 2012. The proceedings for 2019 will published in an edited anthology volume by UWI Press. Selected papers from 2022 were published in a special issue by the Island Studies Journal Vol18(2), 2023.
